First Ride of the Summer – Dirt Biking on the Farm.
Emily Batty June 19, 2013

So last year Adam and I decided to pull the trigger on a pair of dirt bikes.  I’m pretty much in love with my 2013 Honda CRF150R with custom Victory Circle Graphix which is actually a team sponsor.  I mainly like the CRF150r for the size/stand over, it’s light weight and YES, it is very fast for its size! The “R” stands for race ya know!

Aside from mountain biking and racing, this is by far my favorite hobby “off the bike” haha but of course still on 2 wheels.  The amount of power you have, the suspension beneath you and your ability to cover ground just by twisting the throttle is one of the most fulfilling things you can do.

After riding around the farm for the better part of an hour, I am anxious to get out on the real trails (Ganaraska Trail System) open the bike up and work on my skills.  Priorities first though, so it’s back to work turning the pedals and preparing for Canadian Mountain Bike Nationals. Keep you posted and enjoy the photos!

Such a beautiful summer day, it feels good to be home.

Its hay season and my dad is working hard, he took a quick break to chit chat with me.

Getting the feel for the bike again, its been almost 10 months since I've ridden the moto.
