Well 17th is not what I had hoped for on a spectacular course like this especially after 2nd place here last year. I’m still battling illness and a chest infection, I had great legs but was really held back by my lungs. My training builds have just been interrupted way too many times to have any sort of one day race success this year, you would think I’d be used to racing sick by now, as it’s been a constant uphill battle all season long. I’m not happy with how the race went but I just had to make the most of it. Its been an up and down season and I’m already looking ahead into 2014.
Thanks to Trek Factory Racing for the amazing support and of course Cycling Canada @canMTBcycling for going above and beyond for such a far away World Championships. :):):)
